This is a VW spec ad created by Vincent Laforet to test out the 1D Mark IV for Canon. The concept of the round car in a square world is great and the shots are awesome. The thing I like most though is the idea of just creating an ad. Vincent didn’t wait around for VW to offer him a job, he went out, had fun, and made something great. And although it wasn’t the goal of this project, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets offered a job from them soon.
